A NH Government Banking Sales Advisor II will be responsible for the sales, marketing, and relationship management of a book of existing municipal customers, as well as prospecting for new customers. Sales of traditional bank depository and cash management products to municipal prospects, managing a portfolio of customers, and growing business with existing customers is expected.
Sales and marketing of traditional depository and Cash Management services to New England municipal entities throughout a specified geographic territory, but mainly within New Hampshire. Managing and maintaining a portfolio of existing customers. Responsible for achieving predetermined sales and goals each year, new relationships and new core deposits, along with growing the portfolio over previous year's levels.
Sales call planning and reporting to include preparing territory plans, monthly sales reports, call reports, and relationship reviews, as well as joint calls with other bank departments.
Generating proposals and responding to new business opportunities through the RFP process.
Team projects and assisting with analytical reports, special projects, bank conversions, and customer product training/forms completion.
Pricing and tailoring products to meet the customer's requirements.
Assisting Customer decisions with respect to product training, service levels, quality and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree is desired.
Experience with clients in the government/municipal sector is preferred.
Skills/Knowledge
Prospecting, sales, and closing skills are required.
In depth knowledge of traditional bank products, as well as a working knowledge of cash management products.
Working Conditions
This position requires extensive customer visits and prospect calls.
The position can be managed from a home office.
Territory is located within New England, but mainly in New Hampshire. The department has customers throughout Massachusetts, which are assigned according to geography and/or relationship fit.
