Location: Employee may sit at our locations in Vancouver, WA, Longview, WA, or The Dalles, OR. Salary: $78,000 annually + commission plan and mileage reimbursement Travel: Minimum once-a-month visits to each landfill

About the Role

We're seeking a Landfill Waste Sales Representative to support sales efforts at our Finley Buttes and Wasco County Landfill sites in Boardman and The Dalles, OR. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have experience in waste disposal or a related field, with a strong technical aptitude in environmental or landfill sales.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and sell waste disposal and collection services to industrial clients. Build long-term relationships through proactive service and follow-up. Provide consultative support on special waste disposal solutions. Collaborate with legal counsel to develop disposal agreements and contracts. Participate in financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Promote additional services (e.g., compost sales) and implement pricing strategies. Stay current on environmental regulations at all levels. Work with the District Manager to develop market strategies and sales targets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred (e.g., biology, environmental studies, chemistry). 2-3+ years of sales and account management experience. Experience with large accounts or complex contracts. Background in waste, environmental, or analytical services preferred. Strong business writing and presentation skills. Ability to interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
