This position will be responsible for driving pharmaceutical sales of their assigned territory by providing product knowledge and sales expertise to our customers. The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist will collaborate with Henry Schein Field Sales Consultants, Strategic Group Executives, Business Development Executives, Strategic Account Managers, and Independent Sales Consultant daily to drive pharmaceutical sales. This role requires a strong understanding of Henry Schein's product portfolio, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building and nurturing client relationships. The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying customer needs, delivering persuasive presentations, and achieving sales targets. This position will be customer-facing and will require travel.
Key responsibilities include: achieving annual sales goals, driving sales growth, developing and executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, conducting regular meetings with customers, providing exceptional customer service, engaging with key customers, staying informed on industry trends, partnering with marketing and training teams, submitting regular reports, analyzing data, negotiating prices, providing sales leads, creating proposals, and attending customer presentations and meetings.
Specific knowledge and skills include: understanding of pharmaceutical products, knowledge of vaccine market, experience in developing pharmaceutical standardization plans, understanding of GPO contract compliance, tier pricing, and price parity, experience with specialty pharmaceuticals, and knowledge of generic pharmaceutical market. General skills and competencies include: good understanding of industry practices, proficiency with tools and systems, planning/organizational skills, decision making, analysis and problem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, presentation and public speaking skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills.
Minimum work experience typically includes 2 to 4 or more years of increasing responsibility in any applicable professional experience. Preferred education is typically a bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a related discipline. Travel typically requires 25%. Office environment with no special physical demands required.
