Sage Intacct CRE Sales Manager

The Sage Intacct CRE (Construction & Real Estate) Sales Manager is a strategic sales role responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Sage Intacct's cloud-based financial management solutions to organizations in the construction, real estate, and architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. This position involves developing targeted sales strategies, managing the full sales lifecycle, fostering key client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets. The role requires a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, such as job costing, project management, and regulatory compliance in CRE sectors. This is typically a hybrid or remote position with travel up to 10-30% for client meetings, industry events, and team development.

Reporting to the Director of Sales or VP of Vertical Markets, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in quota-carrying sales within ERP/software solutions for construction and real estate, with a track record of building high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation: Drive new business acquisition and expansion within existing accounts by identifying prospects in the AEC market, conducting needs assessments, and closing deals for Sage Intacct implementations tailored to construction job costing, real estate portfolio management, and financial reporting.
  • Sales Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation and qualification through demos, proposals, negotiations, and contract closure; collaborate with pre-sales engineers, solution consultants, and channel partners to customize demonstrations.
  • Client Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term partnerships with CRE firms, developers, contractors, and property managers; manage key account portfolios to identify upsell opportunities, such as advanced modules for project accounting or multi-entity consolidation.
  • Market Intelligence and Forecasting: Analyze market trends in construction and real estate to refine go-to-market strategies; maintain accurate sales pipelines in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and provide accurate revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing for lead generation campaigns, product teams for feedback on CRE-specific enhancements, and customer success for seamless onboarding to ensure high retention rates.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent Sage Intacct at CRE conferences, trade shows, and webinars; contribute to thought leadership content on topics like ERP for sustainable building projects or compliance with real estate regulations.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve or exceed annual sales targets (typically $2M+ in new ARR), monitor team KPIs (e.g., win rates >30%, pipeline velocity), and report on sales activities using internal tools.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years in B2B software sales, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role managing sales teams; proven success selling ERP solutions (e.g., Sage Intacct, Sage 300 CRE, Sage 100 Contractor, or competitors like Procore/Viewpoint) to CRE/AEC clients, including quota attainment of 100%+ consistently.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction and real estate financial processes, including job costing, progress billing, retainage, lien management, and multi-property accounting; familiarity with industry standards like GAAP for contractors or IFRS for real estate.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills for executive-level engagements; proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and sales analytics; ability to conduct effective needs analysis and solution selling.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications a plus.
  • Other: Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically; ability to work in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment; strong ethical standards.
