Hotel Daphne Sales Manager Opportunity

Hotel Daphne seeks an enthusiastic Sales Manager to join our team. This role will be focused on selling the hotel product, providing efficient service and meaningful experiences; you will be part of a team passionate about lifestyle hospitality, committed to nurturing curiosity and new skills and building connections with guests and colleagues across the hotel. This position reports to the hotel's Area Director of Sales.

Hotel Daphne in Houston Heights is a 49-room hideaway inspired by utopian ideals, clandestine neighborhood clubs, determined women and art of all kinds. We invite travelers and locals to check in and "check out." Opening winter 2025.

The role of Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. The ideal candidate is a career sales professional and a top producer within hotel sales who has demonstrated through performance a commitment and expertise in direct sales.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conduct site inspections, solicit and generate business.
  • Prepare and present effective proposals
  • Maintain well organized documentation and reports
  • Utilize Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate.
  • The Sales Manager will also participate and may lead meetings.
  • The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the sales and catering staff and is in close contact with assigned administrative and support staff.
  • Solicits, through direct sales and marketing contacts, the most complex accounts, which exhibit potential for business.
  • This role may take on leadership functions and assist Director of Sales & Marketing with projects
  • Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Furthermore, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision.

Qualifications:

Experience Required:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have 3-5 years of hotel sales experience
  • Must be proficient in general computer knowledge.
  • Must have selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information

Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field strongly preferred
