Skills and Competencies
- Sales Experience: 15+ years of experience in a sales role within a software, data, or services organization is required, with a successful track record selling solutions to the global marketplace. Experience managing sales professionals is a plus.
- Industry Expertise: Experience selling solutions to the Commercial and Community Banking segment is essential to lead the team in this market.
- Consultative Selling: The ability to sell on a needs/solutions basis and influence key decision-makers is required to build strong client relationships and drive revenue.
- Negotiation & Influence: Strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills are required to communicate convincingly in front of senior management, customers, and larger audiences.
- Strategic Planning: The ability to think holistically about a market and formulate a strategic and tactical plan, including a detailed SWOT analysis, to create and execute on sales opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Ability to easily switch between Account Management and Business Development roles and to develop others to do so.
- Problem-Solving: Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions in a fast-paced environment are essential.
The position requires the ability to travel (approximately 25-40%). Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools-such as Copilot and ChatGPT-can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related area is required.
- Graduate/second-level degree (e.g., Master's/MBA) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Sales Professionals in the Americas to drive new business growth and execute strategic business development plans for a defined territory of strategic customers.
- Provide line management for Sales Professionals in the Americas Region, implementing best practices in sales techniques to achieve the team's annual sales target.
- Design, implement, and execute a strategic business development plan and customer outreach strategy.
- Establish and ensure the team is meeting annual targets for client meetings and sales goals.
- Maintain active relationships with customers and intermediaries at all levels, effectively running meetings on short notice.
- Lead the review of the team's forecast, including the tracking of pipeline and renewals.
- Identify business opportunities for new product and feature development through market and client exposure, designating pilot customers where appropriate.
- Partner with marketing, events, and product strategy teams to drive events and sales campaigns.
