Sr. Manager of Sales, Corporate Accounts Remote- U.S.

In this role, the Sales Manager, Corporate Accounts, serves as a strategic leader responsible for driving business growth with designated strategic accounts. The incumbent formulates comprehensive business strategies, articulates a clear vision, engages key stakeholders, and fosters relationships both within the organization (all Voith business lines) and externally. This role also evaluates performance metrics, understands client needs, and updates plans to meet objectives. The Sales Manager, Corporate Accounts, leads initiatives to improve business effectiveness and ensure strategic plans to support company and customer financial goals. The incumbent will simultaneously manage multiple corporate accounts as assigned, manage continuous improvement projects, and align resources required to achieve assigned business objectives. The selected person will be responsible for fostering a cooperative relationship with other key stakeholders to support North America and Global strategies and to meet financial goals and targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key decision makers within the strategic account(s).
  • Arrange and make sales meetings at corporate headquarters and at the mill locations at the appropriate frequency to become the preferred supplier.
  • Identify customer goals and needs within the strategic accounts and position Voith product and service solutions to those needs.
  • Develop strategic business plans and regular reviews, critiques, and plans revisions to achieve established goals.
  • Communicate and update Director of Sales - Corporate Accounts regarding performance and direction of strategic account.
  • Execute strategic business plans and measure performance through key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Execute existing or new contracts to align with customer business targets, methods, and terms and conditions of supply.
  • Provide oversight of contract review and risk assessment networking with Voith commercial and legal stakeholders as required.
  • Manage price within the strategic account and align with overall market price objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement savings with internal subject matter experts per contract commitment or as a means of selling our value to the customer.
  • Manage accounts receivables within the strategic account to the financial goal.
  • Travel required 50% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and JD Edwards.
  • Lean Management, Six Sigma and/or Operational Excellence training preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in related field. Business Administration, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering would be a plus.
  • At least 5 years of sales, account management, project management, or leadership experience.
  • At least 5 - 10 years of business experience preferred.
  • Contract Management Training Knowledge of paper machine and industry knowledge is preferred.
