We're seeking a high-performing Technical Sales Director with a strong technical background to lead and grow a dynamic team of technical sales professionals. This is a player-coach role: you'll manage a team of Technical Sales Managers and Product Managers while also owning key accounts and driving your own quota.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals including Sales Engineers, Product Managers, and Technical Sales Managers.
Drive revenue growth across a diverse customer base
Manage and grow strategic accounts.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers transitioning into sales roles; provide coaching and sales enablement.
Own and optimize the sales process using CRM, with plans to upgrade to a more robust CRM/ERP system.
Partner with leadership to refine commission structures and implement accelerators
Report directly to executive leadership and participate in strategic planning.
Requirements
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in technical sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams.
Proven success managing quotas and driving revenue in a high-volume, inbound sales environment.
Strong understanding of technical products
Experience with CRM systems and e-commerce platforms
Comfortable with fast-paced environments and high session volumes
Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows and team collaboration.
