Territory Sales Manager

The Territory Manager is responsible for the sales and promotion of Hubbell Products; Hubbell Wiring Device - Kellems, Killark Harsh and Hazardous Products (GaiTronics, Hawke, Rig Power), Burndy - Connectors, Grounding & Tooling, and Hubbell Enclosures (Quazite, Armorcast, Pencell), CMC OEM Products, Ripley Tools and Hubbell Cable Accessories to distributors, electrical contractors, end-users, and specifying engineers, attaining assigned sales quotas within an assigned territory. Heavy emphasis on contractor relationships and end user sales.

The ideal candidate should reside in the Greater Anchorage, Alaska.

A Day In The Life

Manage assigned territory to ensure effective, efficient, and economical use of available time and company assets to achieve sales objectives.

Conduct sales calls on distributors and all potential users/consumers of Hubbell products.

Train and support distributor personnel to sell and promote Hubbell products; manage distributor inventory/investments to ensure maintenance of proper inventories to service the trading area and maximize the "Return on Investment".

Conduct sales training, internal and external, within the territory as directed by field management.

Conduct formal sales presentations to various groups, distributors, and end-users.

Communicate with customers using written form, telephone, Teams, Zoom, in person, small group, conferences, trade shows, and industry-related social events.

Communicate through district manager any issues, problems, opportunities, successes. - Service distributors and end-users while creating demand for the Company's product offering.

Build relationships with distribution, end-users, and specifying engineers.

Serve as a customer information center for literature requests, catalog requests, technical detail, drawings, and cross-reference information.

Act as a liaison between customer and the corporate offices for successful resolution on any inoperable product.

Generate quotes and renewal paperwork for pricing and approval.

Handle claim discrepancies between the Hubbell Corporate Offices and distributors.

Qualify sales leads and routes for action.

Maintain accurate account records using CRM (Salesforce).

Complete assigned reports and manage sales tools.

What will help you thrive in this role?

A four-year college degree with five (+) years of related industry sales experience or a high school diploma with seven (+) years of related industry sales experience.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Experience with ERP/CRM systems desired (Salesforce experience preferred).

Proficient computer skills- must have strong Microsoft Office, e-mail, and other PC application skills.

Driver's license required.

Contractor, OEM & MRO sales experience is a plus.

Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions.

Works well in group problem solving situations.
