How you can make a difference: The Manager, Sales Support is a people leader who is responsible for leading a team of Sales Support specialists. This position also works collaboratively with all members of the Sales and Relationship Management team, RFP team, Marketing team, Client Integration Solutions (CIS) team, and the Legal/Compliance teams. This role typically reports to the Director of Sales Operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Manages and carries out the personnel actions for direct reports, including but not limited to hiring and scheduling; training and evaluating; coaching and managing performance; making salary, merit, or other compensation recommendations for team of direct reports; and making recommendations and/or taking corrective or disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Supervises, coaches and develops direct reports, maintains employee documentation, and conducts annual performance reviews.
- Acts as a manager approver in key systems such as Salesforce and ADP for direct reports.
- Shares SME process knowledge with the team to ensure consistent support for Sales and Relationship Management team members and leaders.
- Processes Time Cards, Manage PTO, and My Learning in ADP.
- Manages email boxes related to direct and broker sales opportunities and ensure these inquiries are answered and/or properly answered.
- Updates training materials and review with direct reports.
- Monitors Salesforce reports, NBNF's, Integrated Partner Fallout, Signature Declines, Stale Opportunities for accuracy and prompt processing.
- Performs Salesforce User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Owns and leads special projects as needed.
- Handles escalated issues and other duties as assigned.
What you will need to be successful:
- Knowledge of general sales and marketing concepts or a closely related field as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree.
- 2+ years of related work experience preferably with a background in telephone sales and/or insurance sales.
- 2+ years' experience in a leadership position.
- A strong customer service orientation is essential.
- Ability to persuade others to change their minds and bring others together to reconcile differences.
- Deductive and inductive reasoning abilities, being able to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense and to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing demands of business is a must.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically with brokers and other key clients.
- Familiarity with principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products and services, including educating others regarding products and services.
- Strong active listening skills, giving full attention to others, asking appropriate questions.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including business presentation skills and ability to create effective visual aids.
- Occasional travel to attend training or meetings may be required.
Salary Range $75500.00 To $116500.00 / year
