Job Summary:

We are seeking a Wedding Sales Manager who excels in leading with a solid commitment to team support and actively participates in leadership opportunities. This role is pivotal in achieving line of business and lodging revenue goals while maintaining an enterprise-wide mindset and leading key enterprise tracks of work. The ideal candidate will align seamlessly with our sales strategic objectives and embrace Vail Resorts' vision, mission, and priorities. Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute incoming wedding lead conversion process, including evaluating, qualifying, and quantifying material leads, engaging with clients, and developing timely proposals while working with internal stakeholders to meet and exceed customer preferences while following Vail Resort's increase ancillary and lodging revenue strategy.
  • Develops and maintains productive business relationships with the wedding community to increase group lines of business sales across the Enterprise when needed and with a focused effort at Heavenly, NorthStar, Kirkwood, Park City, and Whistler Blackcomb Resorts.
  • Focus on building relationships with key stakeholders, attend internal stakeholder meetings, and report business updates to team. Develops thorough working knowledge of all Heavenly, NorthStar, Kirkwood, Park City, Whistler Blackcomb and other Vail Resorts venues, mountain dining, owned and operated lodging, etc.
  • Achieve and exceed team and individual goals, which include revenue and competency targets. Work with the sales teams and appropriate stakeholders to evaluate and close the best opportunities based on market conditions and Resort needs.
  • Solicit, close, and contract group business using strong negotiating skills and creative selling techniques.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future booking activities, including sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Conduct remote and on-site training representing assigned resorts, including arranging site tours and FAM experiences for our clients, team, and partners.
  • Conduct in resort tours with potential clients and attend networking events in applicable markets.
  • Assist with product promotions, fulfillment, or troubleshooting within assigned resorts or for any assigned accounts.
  • Other duties and support of enterprise team may be required.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven success in a similar role and environment.
  • Any combination of education and sales training may also be considered.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Experience within Delphi FDC (training will be provided to the right candidate.)
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Candidate must be a resort-based employee, Heavenly or Northstar.
  • Required travel throughout Tahoe region on a consistent basis (transportation is the employee's responsibility.)
  • Phone required for client-facing roles – phone plan is available (candidate must either opt into company plan or assume responsibility for a business phone solution.)
  • Company-use IT Technology Kits are provided for job requirements of corporate remote employees. Any additional items will be at employees' expense.
    • IT Technology Kits include: o Dell laptop and charger o Wireless mouse
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently manage multiple priorities.

  • Flexible schedule based on business needs: Some travel may be required. In resort visits are required. Weekends required.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $68,640 - $80,596. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
