Regional Sales Manager

Reporting to the EU Municipal System Sales, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding Municipal sales targets in the UV treatment market. The role involves creating and managing long-term, value-added relationships with our customers and channel partners, communicating the progress of weekly/monthly/quarterly sales metrics and initiatives to internal and key external business partners, and preparing sales forecasts and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI). The Regional Sales Manager responds to customer inquiries and identifies new business opportunities through the entire life-cycle of our customers. Working remotely with frequent travel, this highly autonomous role requires strong business acumen, planning, and the ability to execute strategically.

A typical day in this role will look like:

  • Create monthly sales plans to meet targets using customer engagement, Value Selling, and funnel management.
  • Build a strong network of customers and channel partners to promote UV solutions (Trojan UV/Aquafides) in the municipal water sector.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Monitor and report on market trends, competition, and opportunities during monthly reviews.
  • Engage in sales activities like site visits, trade shows, demos, and channel management.
  • Provide field input for corporate initiatives (e.g., market research, Kaizen, beta testing).
  • Support proposal development and contract negotiations.
  • Track KPIs monthly and implement corrective actions as needed.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Lead all municipal product activities for Trojan Technologies.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Use CRM to:
    • Log activities and manage opportunities.
    • Present monthly funnel and forecast reviews.
    • Capture Voice of Customer insights to identify new opportunities.

Channel Partner Management:

  • Execute regional growth strategies.
  • Apply strategic thinking and innovative tactics to drive success.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 10 years of direct sales experience or 5+ years of relevant experience in Wastewater, Drinking Water.
  • B2B experience selling complex Municipal products and solutions.
  • A degree in a science-related field such as Chemistry, Biology, or Environmental.
  • Science, Engineering, or equivalent is an asset but not mandatory.
  • French native, fluent in English, are required.
  • Based in Ile-de-France or bordering region, with the ability to travel up to 60% within the assigned territory.
