Plan, schedule, and coordinate the export of goods, including transportation, documentation, and customs requirements.
Ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods to meet customer expectations and avoid penalties or delays.
Oversee the correct preparation of export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin (FTA/AIFTA etc.
Ensure to share them in a timely manner with the relevant regional Interco team.
Coordinate with Engineering to ensure product specifications, technical manuals, and compliance certificates are included in the export documentation package.
This section defines the collaboration with the technical teams.
Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Serve as the liaison between Interco/Commercial teams and the Engineering/Manufacturing departments.
Technical Readiness: Work with Engineering to track the design freeze, compliance sign-off, and production readiness of new or updated electrical/mechanical products intended for export.
Maintain a foundational understanding of the technical side of the export product line to accurately represent technical status and requirements in planning meetings.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively communicate product-related risks that could impact export timelines, such as regulatory compliance issues or last-minute design changes.
This section is focused on continuous process improvement.
Identify and mitigate risks in the export process, including issues related to customs, logistics, or international regulations
Take the ownership of developing, refining, and implementing efficient Interco export processes and workflows to streamline export operations
Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the export processes and recommend solutions to enhance effectiveness and speed
Work with Engineering to define clear handover points (e.g., Product to Documentation or BOM to Logistics) to reduce delays.
Resolve any issues that arise during the shipment process, such as delays, damaged goods, or customs holds
This section includes the planning role, incorporating engineering readiness into the SIOP process.
Discuss with the regional Interco team and plan to liquify the inventory in a timely manner.
Coordinate with regional Interco team and inform Demand/factory team if any order is expected to delay.
Conduct and attend weekly SIOP meeting for product readiness date.
Ensure Engineering's inputs on product testing, quality checks, and final assembly schedules are integrated into the SIOP meeting's discussion on the product readiness date.
Monitor FOC shipments (in case of need) through periodic credence meeting etc
Maintain export Smartsheet on a regular basis.
Share weekly OB and sales reports with LOB/region classification and tables.
Upload and maintain Interco order status on EBO for respective region
Ownership of maintaining the latest lead time sheet for all the export products on EBO
Lead the weekly meeting with Interco teams and effectively and timely communicate the order acknowledgement.
