WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Bridge the gap between the needs of the warfighter and the technology that supports them.
  • Use your understanding of DoD organizations, prime contractors, and supplier networks to identify where Applied's thermal management and power solutions can make a difference.
  • Engage across all levels – from engineers to senior leaders – to communicate mission value and technical solutions.
  • Identify opportunities through your network, referrals, and outreach – not just waiting for doors to open but creating them.
  • Develop and deliver clear proposals, presentations, and briefings that connect warfighter needs to Applied solutions.
  • Negotiate with integrity, seeking win-win partnerships that advance the mission and safeguard our values.
  • Partner with our engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure customer needs are met.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

The Outside Sales/Business Development Representative reports to the Director of Business Development. This position must also closely communicate/coordinate with the Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, and Purchasing departments.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of proven sales/business development experience.
  • Prior military service or direct experience with DoD Primes/Sub-Tier suppliers.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrate success in building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • U.S citizen or permanent resident.
