Pay Range: $129,800 - $155,800 annually

Job Summary

The Sr. Lead Commercial Vehicle Account Executive is a high-impact commercial leadership role focused on accelerating adoption of Hyundai's Class 8 hydrogen fuel cell trucks through a structured Demo-to-Sales program. This role drives revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing commercial truck sales opportunities, serving as the primary interface between Hyundai and its commercial clients. The position contributes directly to the company's bottom line by building strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and delivering tailored solutions that align with business objectives.

Essential Functions

Sales & Market Development

Execute hybrid B2B and retail sales strategies targeting fleets, logistics companies, and major shippers. Identify and secure new customer accounts through proactive prospecting and relationship building. Develop and execute milestone-based sales plans for Class 8 FCEVs and future CV products. Leverage state and federal ZEV incentives to maximize competitiveness and ROI. Customize go-to-market strategies for key regions: California, NJ/NY, Texas, and Canada.

Demo Program Management & Sales Conversion

Plan and execute demo deployments including route analysis, fueling infrastructure coordination, and maintenance readiness. Manage regulatory and compliance requirements (DOT/IFTA, trip permits, IRP/M-plate, insurance). Conduct driver onboarding and training (classroom and behind-the-wheel). Monitor operational KPIs: uptime, fuel economy, torque, gradeability, and driver feedback. Ensure full closure post-demo: logistics, inspection, data extraction, VOC collection, and sales follow-up.

Voice of Customer (VOC) & Product Improvement

Aggregate feedback from drivers, fleet managers, and maintenance staff into structured VOC reports. Translate operational issues into actionable recommendations. Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to implement product changes. Validate improvements through follow-up fleet trials.

Dealer Network & Channel Management

Design and manage multi-phase dealer network expansion strategies. Finalize Dealer Sales and Service Agreements (DSSA) and onboard selected dealers. Evaluate dealer capabilities, especially those with hydrogen/Class 8 experience. Incentive & Subsidy Management

Oversee strategic use of subsidies (HVIP, NJEDA, EPA Clean Ports, IRA credits). Engage with CARB, NYSERDA, and other agencies to structure incentives. Convert legacy HVIP vouchers into Hyundai XCIENT sales.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

Coordinate with HT NA CV and HMC CV executives. Act as voice of the customer to influence product development, pricing, and delivery. Lead forecasting, CRM reporting, and sales KPIs. Market Development & Advocacy

Represent Hyundai at ACT Expo, Clean Transportation events, and ZEV conferences. Build relationships with fleets, policy stakeholders, and hydrogen ecosystem partners. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Business, Marketing, or related field). 10 years of experience in Class 8 truck sales, fleet operations, or demo program leadership (preferably in hydrogen/BEV). Expertise in enterprise sales strategy, forecasting, and contract negotiation. Strong understanding of DOT/IFTA compliance, trip permits, insurance, and ZEV incentives. Demonstrated success converting demos into confirmed fleet sales (>20 vehicles).

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

MBA preferred. Experience with key NA fleet operators and hydrogen infrastructure providers. Experience managing OEM and dealer demo programs. Familiarity with hydrogen production, storage, and dispensing systems. Direct collaboration with engineering teams on heavy-duty vehicle development.
