Your New Role

The Sr. Manager, Content Sales Finance is embedded with the Domestic Content Licensing Sales / Operations teams and helps lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and management reporting. The role partners with the business on SVOD, Cable, Pay, Syndication and Airline sales of film and television product in the U.S. & Canada and is responsible for overseeing and reconciling all domestic deal flow. The Sr. Manager is responsible for managing work product provided by the Finance Center of Excellence (COE) including building, maintaining, and overseeing financial models, budgets, rolling forecasts, KPIs, analytics and management reporting.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Manage by-title budget, monthly forecast, and weekly pacing, which includes partnership with the US & Canada sales teams on pertinent deal information and financial performance
  • Partner with Studios Accounting / Controllership for monthly/quarterly/year end closes to ensure and reconcile completeness of sales activity
  • Work with Finance COE on pacing and analytics including all deliverables and requests for forecast information
  • Prepare and maintain internal rebate schedules in close partnership with stakeholders across Streaming and Controllership
  • Drive insights for FP&A business unit teams & other WBD finance teams (e.g., WB FP&A, WBD LOB, etc.) for deal questions and specific application
  • Provide business decision support across global businesses including: Building and preparing long term plans, business justifications, projected financials, and investment analysis, including NPV, ROI, payback, and IRR; updating and assessing revenue pipelines and financial impacts; and comparing actual operating results to business plans and budgets. Perform analysis to assist management with making business decisions. Corporate finance point of contact for Licensing submission questions
  • Present analysis to Finance and Business Unit leadership
  • Manage ultimates (TV and Theatrical) work including, but not limited to, detailed worksheets, interfacing with the FP&A, Sales Planning & Inventory, Audit and other teams to help facilitate any research, submission through SAP, and completing variance explanations for Corporate and Audit
  • Subject Matter Expert and advocate for Content Sales automation and systems integration
  • Drive COE alignment, quality control and cross training

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in financial management experience
  • Experience in entertainment and understanding of content life cycle required
  • Experience in home entertainment and content licensing strongly preferred
  • Experience building executive communication documents that are concise and highlight issues and recommendations
  • Experience in managing large data and excel models
  • System (e.g. SAP/Essbase/Business Object) experience preferred
  • Understanding general accounting principles
  • Experience in multi-divisional financial reporting
  • CPA / MBA (preferred)
  • BA/BS in Finance or Accounting or related field required.
  • Software knowledge/skills: MS Excel (at the intermediate/advanced level), Essbase (intermediate level), MS PowerPoint (required), SAP BW (required), SQL (preferred), Business Objects (preferred)
  • Strong finance analytical skills required.
  • Must have ability to translate business challenges into solutions and process improvements
  • Commitment to produce accurate, reliable and high-quality work in timely manner
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Interest in working with personnel with varying levels of financial expertise
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and bring them to a successful conclusion with aggressive deadlines

Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $109,900.00 - $204,100.00 salary per year.
