Position Summary
Watchmaker is inviting applications for the full-time position of NGS Sales Specialist - Europe. This position reports to the Commercial Director – EMEA and will be responsible for driving the commercial growth across Watchmaker's genomics product portfolio, with a specific focus on NGS library prep solutions and engineered enzymes.
The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering accurate revenue forecasts throughout the fiscal year, enabling the leadership team to monitor business performance and drive growth through the acquisition of new customers and awareness of Watchmaker Genomics' portfolio. Responsible for developing and implementing territory sales plans and delivering to commercial targets.
The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment and contribute directly to our company culture and success. The position will be supported by the Customer Service, Technical and Applications Support teams and at least 50% travel is expected.
We are seeking an applicant to be based in the UK, ideally in either Cambridge, Oxford, Midlands and North UK, who has experience selling into Scandinavia NGS labs.
Responsibilities
Skills and Requirements
Educated to BSc or higher in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry or a related discipline, with at least three years of relevant sales experience selling next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and other advanced genomics applications into high-throughput clinical sequencing labs, research hospitals, familiar with Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs), IVD Kits, or other B2C scenarios. Broad technical knowledge of DNA- and RNA-modifying enzymes and experience in selling in B2B accounts is advantageous.
Resilient, tenacious with strong negotiation skills within the scientific market, you have a strong track record in delivering sales revenue in key accounts. You have a positive approach with a can-do attitude, great communicator and a high level of self-motivation.

BSc or above with minimum 3 years genomics industry experience selling into commercial accounts.
