Vice President Of Sales

We're looking for a vice president of sales who is as passionate about developing talent as they are about driving revenue in the textile manufacturing sector. This role is ideal for a sales leader who thrives in the day-to-day—coaching account executives, building strong pipelines, and helping teams consistently hit (and exceed) their goals. Reporting to executive leadership, the VP of sales will lead the sales organization with a hands-on, people-first approach while setting the strategic direction needed to fuel continued growth. You'll play a critical role in shaping the sales culture, strengthening execution, and ensuring every team member has the clarity, tools, and support to succeed. This position focuses on managing the non-walmart sales team, overseeing 10-15 sales professionals, and serving as a dedicated people manager. The role is primarily in-office with flexibility, such as potential remote options on fridays or negotiable arrangements based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an active, visible leader to the sales organization.
- Hold regular weekly 1:1s with account executives and sales leaders to review performance, pipeline health, priorities, and development goals.
- Coach team members on account strategy, deal execution, negotiation, and long-term relationship building.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear sales goals, targets, and pipeline expectations across the team.
- Partner with account executives to build, manage, and optimize sales pipelines.
- Review forecasts, identify gaps early, and proactively support deal acceleration.
- Ensure consistent use of sales processes, tools, and reporting.
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives, with a focus on high-level sales in manufacturing and selling to retail stores.
- Translate high-level goals into clear, actionable plans for the sales team.
- Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in key deals and accounts.
- Act as a senior point of contact for major accounts and strategic partners.
- Support account executives in navigating complex customer relationships.
- Reinforce our reputation as a trusted, solutions-oriented partner in textile manufacturing.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations to align sales efforts with product launches and customer needs.
- Ensure feedback from the sales team and customers informs product and go-to-market decisions.
- Track sales performance, KPIs, and pipeline metrics.
- Provide regular reporting and insights to executive leadership.
- Use data to continuously refine coaching, goals, and sales execution.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of progressive sales experience, including proven senior leadership roles in sales organizations.
- A strong track record of successfully leading, coaching, and scaling sales teams of 10-15 professionals or similar size.
- Extensive experience in setting aggressive yet achievable sales goals, managing robust sales pipelines, and delivering accurate forecasting.
- Preferred industry experience in manufacturing in any sector, with a particular emphasis on high-level sales and successfully selling to major retail stores.
- A hands-on leadership style with genuine enjoyment in developing people, mentoring team members, and staying actively involved in key deals and accounts.
- Excellent communication skills, exceptional coaching abilities, and strong interpersonal skills that build trust and drive performance.
- A strategic mindset combined with disciplined execution and consistent follow-through to turn vision into results.
Compensation And Benefits
The base salary for this role ranges from $175,000 to $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
