This position is responsible for achieving company sales and profitability targets in the assigned sales territory for Westlake Royal Building Products – Roofing Solutions. Develop and maintain consultative relationships with customers and prospects in the following defined segments: Distributors, Custom home Builders, Roofing Contractors, General Contractors and Multi-Family Builders. Thorough understanding of the needs of these segments and key customers. Responsible for expanding market-share and developing sales strategies. This position is assigned to the Sacramento/North NV region. Products include concrete and clay tile products and Westlake Royal Roofing System Components™.
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Bilingual a plus (Spanish). Direct sales experience preferred; building product sales experience preferred. Excellent negotiating skills. Strong relationship building skills. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, detail oriented. An enthusiastic, self-starter with good interpersonal skills. Requires the consultative mind-set, solution-oriented method of selling. Working knowledge of MS office suite including teams and outlook 365. Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other deal desk systems. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. This position may be occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, working outdoors, warehouses that are not climate controlled, continually working in the elements, etc. Job will require the ability to be away from home some evenings and riding in a car for several hours per day. Air travel may occasionally be required. Insurability and valid US state driver’s license is mandatory.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $130,000. This range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
