We are looking to hire a Business Development Representative Intern to join our Sales team in São Paulo. This is a hybrid role with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in our office. This position will be aimed towards the North American market, so full English proficiency is required.

About the Role

You will be focused on a variety of industries across Fashion, Beauty, Interiors, Travel, Food & Drink, and Consumer Tech. You will be interacting with SME to enterprise size companies to discuss their potential needs and how WGSN would be beneficial to them. You will not be phased by prospecting new clients and cold calling, using your expertise to help clients understand the value WGSN brings to their business. The Team

At WGSN we have high-performing Sales teams made up of Client Service Coordinators, Business Development Representatives, Key Account Managers, and Senior Account Managers who have worked incredibly hard over the past year to achieve outstanding results. They are true winners!

Key Accountabilities

  • Researching and identifying prospects within given accounts/companies, developing and executing strategies for outbound prospecting via email, cold calling, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and any other means relevant
  • Speaking with self-sourced prospects to discuss potential needs and how WGSN would be beneficial to them
  • Utilizing good discovery tactics and questions in a consultative sales style
  • Ensuring that once meetings are booked, relevant research and information is translated to the Business Development Manager so that they are set up for success in their meetings
  • Meet weekly and monthly qualified call, meeting, and opportunity goals to ensure company revenue objectives are met
  • Learn and maintain extensive knowledge of market/industry trends, developments, WGSN customers, competitors, and products; building expertise towards being able to tell the WGSN story whilst pitching WGSN value

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required

  • Full English proficiency
  • Between the fourth and sixth semester of university
  • Live in São Paulo
  • Be available to work mornings and early afternoons Brazilian time
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit/experience with a strong growth mindset
  • You have a way with words and can write email copy and sequence campaigns that convert
  • You are adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • You are an active relationship builder who can collaborate with internal and external teams to consistently improve processes and communication workflows
  • Behaviour: to be curious and have a desire to learn; resilient and organized; be communicative

Duties

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, including email, phone, and social media outreach
  • Identify and qualify prospective clients by understanding their needs and challenges
  • Schedule product demonstrations for qualified prospects
  • Participate in regular sales training and professional development opportunities
