General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The District Sales Manager is responsible for carrying out all sales and marketing activities in a specified geographical territory to maintain, develop and grow the overall sales volume in that territory in a manner which maximizes profitability.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- 5 years of previous experience in crop input and sales agronomy.
- Ability to communicate in both French and English is required.
- CCA Designation or the ability to obtain it and a degree or diploma in Agriculture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Plan and organize sales activities and customer/prospect contact toward achieving agreed business goals.
- Plan and develop dealer/distributor network in specified territory according to agreed market development strategy.
- Motivate dealers and distributors to promote portfolio and sell portfolio of products.
- Educate growers, dealers, and distributors on new products.
- Conduct direct visits to dealers and distributors to assist in selling portfolio of products.
- Conduct direct farm visits to growers in order to promote and sell portfolio of products.
- Sell and service equipment related to application of products.
- Install and help to install equipment as related to the application of products.
- Sell storage tanks as related to storage of fertilizer products.
- Deliver fertilizer, parts and equipment and storage tanks to dealers and farmers as required.
- Conduct grower meetings to promote the use of products.
- Attend farm shows to promote the use of products and services.
- Locate and develop test plot locations as it relates to research and development program.
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $79,800 - $117,090. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
