About this location: This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. We are right in the middle of the action! Our hotel is perfectly situated next to the Las Vegas Convention Center and just three miles from Harry Reid International Airport. With the monorail just steps away and world-class entertainment, dining, and shopping minutes from our door, you'll be working in the heart of all that Las Vegas has to offer.

Why do we need you? To manage the sales effort of the hotel, including developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervision of sales related personnel, implementation of sales and marketing strategies to maximize profits of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.

What you will do:

  1. Meets with and maintains rapport with individuals and contacts to produce groups and/or convention business, to include Room Sales, F & B Sales, and Catering/Banquet.
  2. Schedules conventions and business group activities at the hotel.
  3. Maintains liaison with other hotel – level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
  4. Maintains good rapport with area Chamber of Commerce, and other local civic groups and companies.
  5. Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented. Coordinate various departments participation in servicing accounts.
  6. Move throughout property to conduct site inspections. Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel, both orally and in written form to previous, current, and potential clients.
  7. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline.
  8. Ensures sales activities meet or surpass profit plan.
  9. Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  10. Develops and maintains client files.
  11. Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies.
  12. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.

Skills and abilities you bring:

  • Originate and carry out sales campaigns.
  • Create new ways of presenting information that will attract peoples' attention.
  • Speak and write clearly and convincingly.
  • Frequently change from one activity to another, for example, writing a speech, giving a speech, and writing a report of campaign progress.
  • Understand how different kinds of people react to words, pictures, and color.
  • Work with all kinds of people.
  • Plan and organize the work of others.

Schedule & Hours This position is fulltime Monday – Friday. Some travel will be required.
