Senior Sales Leadership Role

This is a senior sales leadership role focused on recruiting, leading, coaching, and developing a team of Account Executives focused on driving net new deals across India. This team will be expected to drive demand generation activities along with owning and forecasting net new deals. We are looking for a leader experienced in building and leading successful teams.

Leading from the front, this is a highly visible leadership position where you will:

  • Demonstrate a strong ability to drive account development, pipeline generation, and manage equitable territory distribution models.
  • Develop and manage executive relationships by conducting business-driven discussions.
  • Lead negotiation, planning, strategy, and execution.
  • Build a Go-To-Market Strategy for this line of business.
  • Actively coach, support, and lead the sales organization around account coverage, territory management, demand generation, and opportunity execution.
  • Articulate Workday's impact on business value to C-Level executives and build relationships that drive deals to a successful conclusion.
  • Orchestrate deal activity in partnership with both Net New and Customer Base leadership across the region.
  • Drive Workday Culture and cross-group collaboration as a member of the regional leadership team.

You are a self-starter with a stellar sales and leadership track record for SaaS/Cloud transformation solutions selling to C-suite decision makers. Required qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years experience as a sales leader successfully selling solutions at the C-Level.
  • Proven experience in developing through to execution of a go-to-market strategy.
  • Experience in leading a team that sells net-new solutions into enterprise-sized organizations.
  • Demonstrable results in leading teams within complex, team-based sales environments.
  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment.
  • Must live by a set of values that align with Workday's.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience within the ERP and/or Business Applications marketplace.
  • Experience in managing a geographically distributed team of highly skilled Account Executives.
  • Prior experience in building out Account Executive territory management, Target Account plans & enterprise sales methodology.
  • Experience leading a team of sales specialists who collaborate with field Account Executives (leading through influence).

  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Savvy in identifying customer problems and proposing comprehensive solutions.
  • Strong use of insights and data to drive decision making in the sales process.
  • Proficiency across a variety of selling methodologies, with an existing track record of coaching or teaching these skills.
  • True passion for delivering results through others.
  • Expertise in consultative selling complex business applications to large companies.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the region.
