We are always on the lookout for a talent with a growth mindset – are you the one? We are looking for a Project Sales Director to our Engine Power Plant (EPP) business line. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland but also all Wärtsilä locations located in Americas can be considered. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.

Your role and responsibilities: As a Project Sales Director you will be accountable for leading the EPC and complex EEQ sales for new built engine power plant opportunities. You will have a leading role to ensure we have predictable and profitable sales, enabling a successful project execution.

You'll be working as a part of the Management Team of EPP Sales Management within Engine Power Plant Business Unit, reporting to the Director, EPP Sales Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the EPC and complex EEQ sales for new built engine power plant opportunities
  • Ensure Wärtsilä contracting policies are followed and proper contract terms are achieved
  • Lead the contract negotiations and contracting process
  • Prepare winning sales negotiation strategy
  • Aim for building the long term service agreements
  • Manage and maintain customer relationship
  • Ensure sales project is properly transferred to project execution

Requirements for the position:

  • The candidate must be able to communicate fluently with English and Spanish speaking customers. Proficiency both in English Spanish at a native or mother tongue level is required
  • Is a senior sales leader with strong track record of building and leading high performing teams
  • Has a strong track record of negotiating complex EPC sales energy projects
  • Contractual and risk management understanding
  • Visible influencing and communications skills especially when working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Readiness to travel, in this role, it is expected that travel may account for approximately 40% of working time
