As a Territory Sales Representative for the Rental Division, you will be an outside sales person charged with securing and developing lasting and loyal relationships with customers. Short-term, seasonal, and nontraditional opportunities should also be assessed and pursued when profitable. With a primary focus on the rental market sector, the CRS Territory Sales Rep promotes all products and services of Yancey Rents within an assigned geographic territory. Responsibilities include both rentals and compact construction equipment sales. The person in this position must work closely with the Rental Coordinators and personnel of other divisions to ensure that solid relationships are maintained by the Yancey sales force and our customers.

Primary responsibilities include establishing new rental and sales accounts in niche/fragmented markets through phone and in person visits to potential customers, identifying and generating leads for new business through sales marketing tools, calling on lost or dormant accounts to generate business, contacting customers regarding outstanding and unpaid invoices to arrange payment, maintaining and building positive customer relationships, and performing administrative duties such as sales plans and sales reports. Additionally, the Territory Sales Representative will visit all customers regularly and participate in required safety programs, working in a safe manner and completing additional tasks as assigned by management.

To be successful in this position you should have prior experience in sales with strong leadership skills, a competitive nature and initiative. This position also requires someone who enjoys talking to people, developing relationships with customers and working in a team environment.

Education/experience: High school diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of experience in Sales or Marketing. Required skills include computer skills to include Internet Explorer, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, the ability to comprehend, speak, and write the English language, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the telephone. Experience in opportunity qualification, pre-call planning, call control, account development and time management is preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.

Preferred qualifications/skills include a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience, knowledge of the Spanish language, and exhibiting superior customer service skills.
