National Sales Director

We're seeking a proven sales leader with deep expertise in QSR and CPG advertising to own and grow national video and branded content revenue. As National Sales Director, you'll be at the forefront of connecting iconic consumer brands to RetailMeNot's massive audience and engaging them through premium video storytelling, branded content integrations, and social distribution at scale. This is an individual contributor role with leadership influence: you'll carry your own revenue number while also guiding a dedicated pod (AE, AM, Planner) to execute flawlessly and grow your book of business. Key Responsibilities
- Sell Premium Solutions: Drive revenue growth by selling video and branded content programs across RetailMeNot's ecosystem (site, app, social, extension).
- Leverage Scale: Position our 100MM+ monthly reach and flagship brand authority as a core differentiator in the shopping and savings space.
- Agency & Client Partnerships: Build senior-level relationships with QSR and CPG-focused agencies and brand-direct teams, influencing strategy and securing large-scale deals.
- Thought Leadership: Evangelize RetailMeNot's role in driving measurable outcomes through content-led performance marketing.
- Player-Coach Impact: Act as the strategic lead for a sales pod (AE, AM, Media Planner) while owning your own revenue goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Creative, Product, and Social teams to deliver impactful campaigns that clients can't get elsewhere.
- Pipeline & Negotiation: Maintain a clean pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, and close deals that deliver value to both clients and the business.
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years in digital media or branded content sales, with proven success in video, sponsorships, or cross-platform content programs.
- A strong network and track record of selling into QSR and CPG agencies/brands.
- Ability to translate data + storytelling into compelling narratives for advertisers.
- Experience selling custom solutions that deliver measurable KPIs (CPV, engagement, ROI).
- Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable pitching senior-level decision makers.
- A player-coach mindset—thrives on hunting and closing deals while guiding others
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep relationships at holding company agencies with QSR/CPG accounts.
- Experience selling into brand and video teams.
- Knowledge of native, sponsored, or influencer-driven video formats.
